Open Discussion: Black Friday

In many retail stores across the United States, many retailers open their doors on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The deals are what attract people into lines and employees into waking up early and working harder in order to deal with larger crowds of customers looking for a bargain. I just want to know, what are your opinions on Black Friday.

To me, Black Friday is not worth getting in line and waiting in the cold for a $200 42in TV or any other deal. I would not wait in line at a store for any deal and the early openings means that more people are lining up 10 hours early therefore missing Thanksgiving. Its nice for those who can barely afford to buy those nice things that they cannot have  before and I can respect that for only once in a while but not every year. Personally, I would be in Thanksgiving and enjoying the time with family, friends, and the people around us. And Friday morning? Well, I would just take my time, rest,  and see the deals that are not completely taken by the afternoon such as newer video games for $30 or 3 month membership for Xbox live gold that can use in summer break.

What do you think about in Black Friday? Is it worth the lines and the cold? The commercials and advertisements? Share them in the comments.
